Fiber Innovation’s operations include two manufacturing plants in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, and a tool shop in Suzhou, China. Jason Wu brings extensive molded pulp business experience and an entrepreneurial passion to Fiber Innovation. As the Managing Director, Jason is responsible for day-to-day operations, new product development, sales, and the company’s strategic direction.
Before establishing Fiber Innovation, Jason founded ERI Mexico in 2005, bringing molded pulp technologies from China to North America for the first time. He began with a team of 20 in a 15,000 sq ft place, and in just eight years, it became an impressive company employing 350 workers in a 100,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.
Beyond Fiber Innovation, Jason is a board member of several other businesses, including Summit Trailer in Oregon and Supercomnet Technologies in Malaysia.
Jason holds Master’s and Bachelor’s of Science degrees in nuclear physics from the University of British Columbia.
In the past 16 years, Luis Qin has worked with some of the most successful companies to create innovative molded pulp designs. Over 1,500 molded pulp products were crafted and manufactured directly due to his vision and engineering expertise. Luis listens to customers closely and translates those concepts into molded pulp designs with desired features and quality requirements.
Besides being a world-class designer, Luis is a master tool engineer; he managed a successful tool shop from 2016 to 2019 before joining Fiber Innovation as co-founder and Vice President of Design and Quality Control. His understanding of tooling design, maintenance, and fabrication allows his designs to be innovative yet grounded in real-world practicality, giving Fiber Innovation an immense advantage in production reliability, quality assurance, and new product introduction.
Luis holds a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering from Xian University of Technology.
Hejia brings extensive experience and technological know-how to Fiber Innovation. Between 2009 and 2023, Hejia planned, installed, and commissioned six molded pulp manufacturing plants in China, the U.S., and Mexico, accumulating a wealth of knowledge in facility layout, equipment maintenance and repairs, supply chain selection, infrastructure construction, equipment installation, molded pulp manufacturing of all types, and new production capability acquisition.
Hejia and his team are responsible for developing Fiber Innovation’s production capacity. Since 2019, Fiber Innovation has undergone a series of rapid expansions, growing production capacity by 300% in 3 years. Hejia’s team keeps a steady and responsible approach to the long-term development of Fiber Innovation’s capacity and capability.
Hejia holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Xian Engineering Technology College.
